MULTI POT

Plants and people thrive when they have strong roots. Healthy roots support growing branches, flowers and fruit. The yoga mats that once helped ground our feet now help plants take root. We created these plant pots with that thought in mind.

Material properties vary, but many yoga mats provide good breathability and permeability. These qualities contribute to the MULTI POT's performance.

The material helps retain moisture, so soil is less likely to dry out if you occasionally miss watering.

(2) A structure that helps reduce root rot

Good airflow supports an environment for healthy roots.

A gentle alternative to hard materials for growing roots.

With help from Uchida Ueki, an established plant nursery in Kanagawa, we tested growing plants in yoga mat pots and observed healthy growth.

(1) Simple and functional

A circular piece of yoga mat fastened with snaps. Unfasten it and store it flat when not in use.

(2) Drainage through the joints

There is no hole in the bottom; water drains through gaps in the joints. Use a saucer indoors.

(3) Easy repotting

Unfasten the snaps to remove an established plant easily, making repotting simpler.

The SATANAMA Lab MULTI POT adds convenience and enjoyment to everyday life while reducing waste.
